Christmas Movie Countdown Day 15

It’s day 15 of our very own special Christmas Movie Advent Calendar, the Screen One Christmas Movie Countdown. Join with us as we continue to countdown to Christmas with a new movie to watch each day as the days get ever closer to the big day. All films are availble via various streaming and terrestrial TV services.

Day 15 – A Charlie Brown Christmas (AppleTV+)

When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism that he sees amongst everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas paegent. Charlie Brown accepts, but it proves to be a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to learn what the real meaning of Christmas is.

Not strictly a Christmas Movie due to its runtime (30mins), it’s more of a Christmas special, however it is simply essential Christmas viewing and it’s being made available for a limited time on Apple TV+ therefore you should make time to watch it and why it’s in the Screen One Christmas Countdown. Charlie Brown specials much like the Halloween one are really superb viewing and this one made in 1965, is not only really well put together, but it’s message is as important now as it was then. It was also the first ever Peanuts special to be broadcast.

If you’re behind on the countdown you can catch up via the links below the poster. Enjoy.
